"Lent - an invitation to reflect, reconsider, to slow down, to discover"
- Gay Williams

The 2017 Lenten Season begins on

Join us for a time of liturgy, scripture, song and meditation with Holy Communion,
Anointing and Baptismal Reaffirmation, and Candle lighting.
Come and share the peace of Christ, the love of God,
and the presence of the Holy Spirit with our church family.

7:00 PM in the Sanctuary.

Coming to Webster UCC on Mondays during Lent:

"The Faith of Jesus in a Pluralistic World"

How do you "see" Jesus? Human? Divine? Human & Divine?

We'll investigate how Christians may hold a particular belief in Jesus as "the Christ" amidst a world of competing religious claims. We'll look at the differences and similarities between Christian faith and other religious traditions. We'll try to process and learn about how Jesus can be the "way, the truth, and the life" without condemning other people's religious beliefs and values. And we'll deal with the question:

How is Christianity related to other faith traditions?

We'll be using the model of discussion created by UCC Pastor Eric Elnes in his series
Darkwood Brew.
Darkwood Brew explores the Lectio Divina ~ an ancient method of
engaging scripture first developed by Benedictine Monks in the 5th century.

Join Wendy Lesko, Ryan Henderson, and Carl Richter on each Monday during Lent -

March 6, 13, 20, 27, April 3 & 10 at 7:00 PM in Fellowship Center.

We'll provide the snacks, you bring your favorite
Craft Beer, Micro-brew, or any other beverage -
and a willingness to engage in conversation!

Worship at Webster UCC is Sign Interpreted!

On the 2nd Sunday of the month worship at the 10:45 service is sign-interpreted for the deaf of our community! This is another way we are attempting to live into our Open and Affirming statement - and extending God's extravagant welcome to ALL people.

This service will also be taped for playback on our local cable access channel, letting folks in the community know that our worship is available to all.

Thank you to the legacy of Helen Doster for the funds to begin this process
