Recent Events

Great Stuff happens all the time at United Church of Christ, Congregational in Webster, NY. Below is a sampling of some of our recent events...

(Don't feel bad if you missed them. More good stuff is on the way!)

Coming to Webster UCC on Mondays during Lent 2017:

"The Faith of Jesus in a Pluralistic World"

How do you "see" Jesus? Human? Divine? Human & Divine?

We'll investigate how Christians may hold a particular belief in Jesus as "the Christ" amidst a world of competing religious claims. We'll look at the differences and similarities between Christian faith and other religious traditions. We'll try to process and learn about how Jesus can be the "way, the truth, and the life" without condemning other people's religious beliefs and values. And we'll deal with the question:

How is Christianity related to other faith traditions?

We'll be using the model of discussion created by UCC Pastor Eric Elnes in his series
Darkwood Brew.
Darkwood Brew explores the Lectio Divina ~ an ancient method of
engaging scripture first developed by Benedictine Monks in the 5th century.

For more info check out: http://darkwoodbrew.org

Join Wendy Lesko, Ryan Henderson, and Carl Richter on each Monday during Lent -

March 6, 13, 20, 27, April 3 & 10 at 7:00 PM in Fellowship Center.

We'll provide the snacks, you bring your favorite
Craft Beer, Micro-brew, or any other beverage -
and a willingness to engage in conversation!
