Alexa talks about Alexa

I immigrated from Lviv, Ukraine, in 2003 with my husband Yuri and my now 20-year-old son Ivan. I studied music at the Lviv Music Academy from my age of 5 and continued until I earned my doctorate in accompaniment from that school.

My parents, one brother, one sister and their families still in Lviv. My sister and her family immigrated to Rochester one year ago. I currently have many piano students at Hochstein where I also accompany students for their recital work. I also teach piano at the Kanack School.

[Her professional career also includes playing accompaniment for opera and music students during competitions as well as competing herself in Austria, Poland and Germany.]

Alexa says she loves her job because...

I love to play.

I love people.

I like to bring joy to people with my music.

Alexa reflects on her gifts and talents

God gave me the ability to play music.

I like people.

What others say about Alexa

I would pay to hear her play the piano. In fact, I’ve paid to hear performances that aren’t equal to what she does on Sunday mornings. And she can sing, too!

We at Webster UCC are blessed to have her with us. We are delighted by her personality and thrilled by her music.

We couldn’t ask for a better musician.
